2022 Healthy Workplace Recognition Awards

Healthier Somerset will present the annual “Healthy Workplace Recognition Awards” on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the TD Bank Ballpark, Bridgewater, NJ. These awards are Somerset County’s sole recognition of employers for their outstanding achievements in implementing worksite wellness programs. Award recipients will be announced at a recognition luncheon on Thursday, June 2. The luncheon will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will feature keynote remarks from John J. Sarno, President of the Employers Association of New Jersey (EANJ).  

John is a master of multi-disciplinary, innovation strategies, and has been president of EANJ since 1995. At EANJ John leads a deeply experienced, expert staff that helps good employers be better with education, training, advice and access to benefits’ plans. In addition to being a visionary leader, John is an inspiring teacher and mentor, developing the next generation of leaders to take their place in a complex world. An avid volunteer, he is committed to the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.

John earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. He also holds an M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling from Seton Hall University and a B.A. in Psychology from Ramapo College. He is a trustee of the Community Health Law Project and a board member of the Mental Health Association in New Jersey. He was a member of the New Jersey Department of Health’s “Healthy New Jersey 2030” Task Force.
