Healthier Somerset Meets on Tuesday, November 21, 2017

Healthier Somerset meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. The next Healthier Somerset meeting will be on Tuesday, November 21st at the Steeplechase Cancer Center, with networking and a light breakfast from 8:15-8:45 a.m.  The meeting begins promptly at 8:45 a.m. and concludes at 10:30 a.m.

Healthier Somerset is open to all who live and work in Somerset County and includes representatives from businesses, healthcare, education, faith-based communities, non-profit organizations, local and county government, and the community who are committed to making Somerset County a healthy place to live and work.

Healthier Somerset is a coalition created to improve the health and well being of everyone who lives and works in Somerset County. We promote healthy lifestyles through collaboration among our partners. Our strategic goals are to:

  • Engage Somerset County in active participation in good health habits
  • Increase access to choices that promote healthy lifestyles
  • Promote policy changes that improve health

The mission of the coalition is to work collaboratively to improve the health and well-being of all who live and work in Somerset County. By sharing information and creating alliances among individuals and organizations who are working toward mutual goals, we can collectively increase our efforts to create a healthier Somerset.

Our coalition acknowledges that health is a priority. The health of Somerset County residents has a direct bearing upon our physical, emotional, and economic well-being. As a community, we embrace an agenda that identifies our greatest health needs and sets forth an action plan to address these needs.
